The quilt was inspired by the wide variety of different tile mosaics throughout Europe. The rich diversity of unique designs and compositions that comprised these mosaics influenced the quilt's design.
The Gambit pattern was originally released in the Modern Quilt Guild Journal in 2022, so you may have seen it before! This was such an amazing opportunity that resulted in such a fun pattern for you all. I even had the sample displayed at QuiltCon this year!!
Pattern Details:
This pattern is rated as Intermediate because of the point-matching skill required and the need to have a very consistent ¼” seam allowance. If you’re able to do those two things, this quilt pattern is a walk in the park! The strip piecing style construction of Gambit makes this complicated-looking pattern simple to put together!
Gambit comes in one size (my favorite) - throw! You can find the fabric requirements below:
Do you want to replicate the cover quilt? You can use the Quilt Kit Recipe Card below to take with you to your favorite fabric shop! All fabrics used for the cover quilt are Moda Bella Solids.
